Zimbabweans gathered in London on 15 May 2026 with one clear message: we reject Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3), we reject corruption, and we reject the destruction of our democracy.
From the Zimbabwe Embassy to 10 Downing Street, citizens marched, organized and delivered a petition demanding accountability, constitutionalism and real leadership for Zimbabwe. 🇿🇼
CAB3 is not just another political issue — it is a direct threat to constitutional democracy. The 2013 Constitution requires a referendum for major constitutional amendments. Yet CAB3 is being pushed forward without the people’s consent.

That makes the process unconstitutional.

This is not about opinion. This is about the law.

A constitution is meant to protect citizens from abuse of power — not to be rewritten for political convenience. Zimbabweans cannot allow leaders to undermine the supreme law of the land while citizens suffer under economic collapse, corruption and failing public services.

Zimbabwe is rich in resources, talent and potential, yet millions continue to survive without reliable healthcare, clean water, decent roads, functioning public transport, stable currency or economic opportunity. Hospitals are under-equipped. Infrastructure is collapsing. Civil servants earn wages that cannot sustain families. War veterans are handed symbolic gifts while elites mock struggling citizens with staged “treasure hunt” spectacles in the streets.

Meanwhile corruption grows. Propaganda grows louder. And accountability disappears.

Patriotism is not silence. Patriotism is demanding justice, dignity, transparency and development for our people. A law should defend national sovereignty and citizens’ freedoms — not silence criticism, activism or democratic participation. When Zimbabweans at home and in the diaspora fear speaking out against corruption, bad governance or human rights abuses because it may be labeled a “crime,” democracy itself is under attack.

Zimbabweans deserve leadership that serves the people — not leadership that serves itself.

This generation must refuse to normalize decay. We must organize. We must speak out. We must defend the Constitution. And we must push for real change.

UNITY TO DEFEAT CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT BILL NO3, (CAB3)

We will not stand by while our 2013 Constitution is dismantled, into shreds. We are united as citizens of Zimbabwe in fighting this illegal way to force a personal agenda. We stand firm against the ZANU PF party amendment of our Constitution. The 2013 Constitution, is a charter endorsed in a referendum by more than three million Zimbabweans.

Constitutional Amended Bill No. 3 (CAB3) carries changes to strip power from the people and hand it to the president. The public hearings designed to consult citizens have been carefully managed. All opposing voices have been intimidated, arrested, abducted, tortured, or simply denied a microphone. It is a well calculated move to produce the desired results by the state-sponsored violence. There was no meetings with civil society, churches, legal fraternity, or organised business people done.

The Constitutional Amendment Bill No.3 is a systematic Constitution coup.

The Constitutional Amendment Bill No3 has everything to do with looting, promoting corruption, power grabbing, and keeping unelected people in power. We reject the Constitutional Amendment Bill No3, (CAB3) and call for a referendum if any changes are to be effected. We call for accountability, Constitutional protection, and democratic reform in Zimbabwe. We refuse to accept suffering as normal. The ZANU PF regime have stripped most citizens of their dignity.

Zimbabweans want one man one vote!
ZANU-PF is not Zimbabwe.
We refuse to be silenced.
Zimbabwe belongs to all people.

Zimbabwean Youth Demand Real Opportunities, Not Political Theatre

As Zimbabwean youth, we are tired of empty promises, staged photographs, and political visits that bring no meaningful change to our lives. The upcoming visit by Tino Machakaire has raised serious concerns among young people who continue to suffer from unemployment, poverty, and a lack of opportunities despite holding diplomas and university degrees.

Many young Zimbabweans are educated, talented, and hardworking, yet they remain without jobs or proper support. Instead of real empowerment programs that create sustainable employment and economic growth, we often witness public relations campaigns designed to create headlines and social media moments. Fake smiles cannot hide the harsh reality facing the youth of Zimbabwe.

Across the country and in the diaspora, young people are demanding action, not symbolism. We want investment in education, entrepreneurship, technology, and industries that can provide real opportunities. We want leaders who listen to the struggles of ordinary citizens instead of focusing on image-building exercises.

The youth are the future of Zimbabwe, but that future continues to be delayed by poor leadership, corruption, and a lack of accountability. A nation cannot progress while its graduates remain unemployed and its young people lose hope every single day.

This is not about hatred or division. It is about demanding dignity, transparency, and genuine empowerment. Zimbabwean youth deserve better. We deserve a future where our qualifications matter, our voices are heard, and our hard work is rewarded.

The time for empty gestures is over. The youth demand real change, real jobs, and real opportunities.
